I have two separate models here, I've had to add a 3ds file of my best 3d model. I've having difficulties at the moment with 3DSMAX. Perhaps its time I learnt how to use Maya, it seems that Maya is becoming more popular in the games industry as months go by.
The model above was created with the sole purpose of improving my portfolio. I started with a concept drawing of a character I imagined would look cool in a computer game and then simple began creating the 3d model.
The human model I did for a guy who is making a RPG, as usual I was given a limitation of polygons to work with and a deadline. I like working within these constraints, because its good practice for actually working in the games industry. The polygon count for this model had to be between 2,000 to 2,500 polygons. Looking at it now, I think it would be interesting to add more detail to the model. I think game companies would be impressed by that, so if I can get 3DSMAX working again I'll give the model about 25,000 polygons.
